MALAYA
Sir,—ln my considered opinion, there is no reason why Malaya, Cyprus, and places like Kenya could not be made a paradise along with a prosperous community. Mr D. Davey overlooks that New Zealand is really a Coihmunist paradise. Climate, rich soil. Social Security have made it so. Everybody realises that this enables us to produce more wealth from which the whole world benefits. Our welfare and wealth are about the highest in the world. My desire is to apply the same methods to make civil war-torn colonies equally prosperous by applying t&e same form of administration. Instead. 1 these tragic areas are involved in stupid civil* wars to maintain a state of slave-wages and the exploitation of their natural resources merely for the benefit of a governing and . exploiting class who should be wiped from the face of the earth. —Yours, etc., RALPH S.
