INQUEST INTO DEATHS IN PLANE CRASH
An inquest into the death of two men in the crash of a top-dressing aircraft at Kaikoura on March 5 was concluded before the Kaikoura District Coroner (Mr H. J. Hayward). The Coroner returned a verdict that Geoffrey Woodhouse Lee, aged 46, and Robfert Alfred Evans, aged 48, died at Mount Ross, Kaikoura, from extensive burns received when the aeroplane in which they were flying during topdressing operations crashed and burst into flames.
