Safaris Popular At £420 A Fortnight
PARIS. French travel agents are meeting a rush of would-be big game hunters for safaris in French Equatorial Africa at just over 420,000 francs (£420) a fortnight.
The price includes taxidermists* fees for stuffing the customers* trophies. It also covers the return air fare between Paris and Brazzaville, guides, native trackers, five servant boys, car hire, food, and accommodation, including portable shower baths. The best season is from January to June and safari booking* are sold out until the end of April. The hunters are expected to provide their own guns and tropical clothing, and to pay their own hunting and ivory taxes.
