A letter had been received by the New Zealand association from Mr K. de Mans advising that he had made arrangements to attend the F.I.F.A. congress at Lisbon. He undertook to urge the appointment of some New Zealand referees at the Olympic Games, and also to pursue inquiries on the possibility of two Olympic . teams visiting New Zealand in December. The date for the Jones cup match against Otago, to be played at Christchurch. was fixed for June 23. Otago's suggested date of Julv 28 for the postponed game at Dunedin was accepted. The first competition for the third division grade completed last Saturday was won by Burnham, with Shamrock runner-up.
