Antarctic Appeal Fund.—A cheque for £631. collected at an illustrated lecture given in Auckland by Sir Edmund Hillary and Mr George Lowe on Sunday night, will be handed to the Ross Sea fund. A total of £9562 has now been contributed in Auckland toward the city target of £20.000. which is needed to buy a Beaver aircraft for the New Zealand Antarctic team.— (P.A.)
