1071 Mau Maus Executed
(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, Jung 5 Executions m Kenya since the’ campaign against the Mau Mau terrorists began in October, 1952, now totalled 1071, the Minister of State for Colonial Affairs (Mr John Hare) said in London today.
Of these. 353 persons were executed for murder, 432 for unlawful possession of firearms, ammunition and explosives, 222 for consorting with terrorists, 54 for administering unlawful oaths, eight for furthering terrorism and two for demanding supplies for terrorists.
Mr Hare said that the Mau Mau had murdered 2419 persons and wounded 1540.
