Wellington, for the 27 hours alter the time of issue, is:— Situation:— Pressures are low to the east and high to the west of New Zealand. Forecast:— Canterbury and Coastal Marlborough.—Moderate south-west winds predominating: weather cloudy and cold, with passing showers. Outlook: showers. Inland Marlborough. Nelson, and the West Coast.—Light south-east winds; weather fine; moderate to mild dav temperatures. Outlook: fair. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch was overcast •nd showery, with a light south-west wind. At midnight the sky was cloudy, and there was a five-knot wind from the south-south-east. The temperature was 39.4 degrees. The barometer, at 22.99 inches (1015.6 millibars), was steady.
