CROSS- COUNTRY RUNNERS IN QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY RACE. —Competitors in the Anglican Harrier Club’s inter-club block relay race at Burwood yesterday just after the start of the first lap. Leading the field is C. F. Reece (Olympic), who scored the second fastest lap time, 23min 18sec. The course was about four and one-tenth miles. On the left, immediately following Reece, is J. C. Daly (Marist), the Empire Games runner. The fastest tune, 23min 4sec, was registered by J. K. Macdonald (Olympic), who ran m a later lap.
