POWER STORAGE IMPROVES
Storage in the South Island power lakes reached 79,010,009 units yesterday morning, a gain of 2.330,000. units in 24 hours, and of 14,660,000 in a week There were no frosts in the backcountry catchment areas yesterday morning to half the run-off resulting from recent rain. The weather yesterday was calm and overcast, with no rain.
