ANNUAL WATER RACE CLEANING. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that all Water Races controlled by the Paparua County Council will be TURNED OFF on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS, the sth. 6th. 12th. 13th, 19th. 20th. 26th and 27th June, to enable landowners and occupiers to CLEAN THE RACES through their respective properties and also to CUT ALL FENCES AND REMOVE ALL GORSE. BROOM AND OTHER GROWTH OVERHANGING RACES, including roadside races and races cleaned by the Council. All fence cuttings must immediately be removed from races. This aoolies throughout the PAPARUA, SPRINGS, and WAIMAIRI WATER RACE SUPPLY AREAS.

Failure to adequately clean races by 30th JUNE will result in Legal Action being taken by the Council, and similar «ction will be taken against persons whose gorse and broom after that date interfere with the Council’s cleaning operations and any work necessary will be carried out by the Council at penalty rates without further nfitice.
