The outstanding forwards were Bevan Jones, and J. R. Carroll, in the combined team, and Mac Ewen, I. W. Tarpley L A. Clark, and J. B. Hutchison (Wellington). in the backs, J. G. Dougan and J T. Fitzgerald, the Wellington five-eighths played particularly well. B. E. Finlay and W. S. S. Freebairn. two of the combined team’s three-quarters, were a constant menace to the Wellington defence. For the combined team R. Green scored a try, and for Wellincton Fitzgerald and Dougan kicked field goals.
WELLINGTON B BEATS MARLBOROUGH

BLENHEIM, June 4. Marlborough was no match for Wellington B today in both backs and forwards, and was beaten by 32 points to 0. Wellington led 18-0 at half-time. Tries were scored by Palmer, Clark. Fredericksen (two each), Walsh, and Brocklebank Riesterer converted four tries.
