Y.M.C.A. LEADERS’ CONFERENCE DELEGATES MEET IN CHRISTCHURCH Sixty leaders of Young Men’s Christian Associations from various parts of New Zealand met in Christchurch at the week-end for a conference under the chairmanship of the national secretary (Mr G. F. Briggs). On Saturday, the delegates were welcomed by the president of the Christchurch Y.M.C.A. (Mr A. Watson).' They later heard addresses by Mr M. M. Betts and D. Short and attended a film evening. Yesterday, Mr G. Pitkethley addressed the conference in the morning, and delegates were taken on a scenic tour in the afternoon. A church parade was held at the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church in the evening. The conference will conclude today with addresses by Messrs Briggs and W. Bascand and a farewell tea in the evening.
