A field day dog trial held recently at Waiau, on the properties of Messrs R. X. Chaffey and C. Deans, resulted as follows:
Heading.—Open: G. Kofoed's Rye, 95 points, 1; P. Northcote’s Joe, 91. 2. Maiden: C. W. Lee’s Mate, 92, 1; A. F. S. Rutherford’s Don, 91, 2; W. B. McMillan’s Merrie, 90, 3; A. Dickson’s Lass, 89, 4.
Huntaway.—Open: A. F. S. Rutherford’s Cloud. 98, 1; N. Clemett’s Sweep, 96, 2. Maiden: N. Clemett’s Sweep, 96, 1; C. Gray's Rock, 95. 2; A. Dickson’s King. 94, 3; A. F. S. Rutherforo's Flo, 93, 4. The judges were: huntaway, Mr J. J. O’Carroll: heading, Mr P. F. Childs.
