MINOR FIRES
At 11.19 p.m. on Saturday the Christchurch Fire Brigade was called to a fire in a motor-car owned by Percival James Copp, at 433 Worcester street. The body, engine and wiring of the car were extensively damaged, and slight damage was done to the garage and its contents. An electric oven caught fire at. 70 St. Albans street at 4.59 a.m. on Saturday in premises occupied by Leonard Bruce Martin. Smoke slightly damaged the room in which the oven was situated. At 6.41 p.m. on Saturday the brigade was called to a grass fire on property owned by the Europa Oil Company in Chapmans road, Woolston. No damage was done.
