British Potato Shortage.— Local education authorities in Britain have been asked by the Ministry of Education to cut by half the amount of potatoes served in school meals during the present shortage, to provide substitutes, and to revise their choice of other vegetables. The normal consumption of potatoes in schools is 11251 b to every 2000 meals.—London, May 5.
