ARMS SEARCH IN CYPRUS
(Rec. 11 p.m.) NICOSIA, May 5. British troops, wearing special protective clothing today raided beehives —and returned with a haul of guns, ammunition and dynamite. They swept down on a large number of hives in and around the village of Kato Lefkara, 22 miles south of Nicosia, after receiving anonymous information. An official statement £aid that among the arms, ammunition and explosives found in the beehives were two revolvers and 82 sticks of dynamite. Dozens of hives were opened in today’s search.
