I Sir William Jordan, former New j Zealand High Commissioner in i London, was presented with the gold 1 badge of No. 75 (N.Z.) Squadron Asw- : ciation in Wellington on Tuesday night. He is the second man to be ! awarded the badge. The award was | made in recognition of the services of i Sir William Jordan to the squadron ; when he was High Commissioner and i the interest he took in it.—‘P.A.) Mr D. I. B. Smith, a lecturer to 1 i English at Auckland University Col- B | lege, has been awarded a three-yeer scholarship for study at either Oxfotd ■ or Cambridge universities. Graham, who was minister at St. George's Presbyteni Church. Linwood, until 1951. has re signed from the active ministry, name was placed on the roil of Fra bytery as minister in retirement M evening.
