JAPANESE DESTROYER UNDER TRIALS
TOKYO, February 11
A new 1070-ton destroyer, which has a speed exceeding 25 knots, has undergone successful trials here.
The ship is armed with two threeinch anti-aircraft rifles, two 30-milli-metre machine guns, and eleven depth charge throwers.
The destroyer has been christened Inazuma (Lightning). It cost 1,000,000.000 yen (£1,000,000 sterling). —Reuter.
