The first of the parades was held yesterday morning. Mr Ivan Wood, president of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Institute for the Blind, was a guest. He outlined the plans for the new Christchurch hostel for the blind. Mr E. F. Ward presided, and Mr T. E. West was compere. Among the collection of imported model garments from leading overseas fashion houses were sportswear, clothes for town and country day wear, cocktail frocks and suits, and full-length and ballerina-length evening frocks.
