HOSING RESTRICTIONS AND LIGHTING OF FIRES. THE PUBLIC ARE REMINDED that restrictions cn the hosing of lawns and gardens are still in force. The water supply position is still serious and consumers are requested to observe the restrictions. Inspections are being carried out to detect breaches of the restrictions, and offenders are warned that they are liable to orosecution. The lighting of fires in the open or in drums is still prohibited. Permits will be granted in suitable weather conditions. but any such permits apply to the day of issue only.
