SHOP ASSISTANTS’ UNION
The New Zealand Federation of Labour is to be asked to support the New Zealand Shop Assistants’ Association in respect to applications made under the Shops and Offices Act to amend various awards. This was decided at the association’s annual conference. Officers elected were: president, Mr J. G. Shankie, of Wellington; vicepresident. Mr S. A. Whitehead, of Nelson; national secretary, Mr P. M. Velvin, of ChristoMirch.
