U.S. Bases In Britain To Stay
(N Z Press Association—(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. March 7. The Prime Minister, Sir Anthony Eden, said today that American air bases in Britain would remain as long as they formed Dart of the defence of the free countries. He was replying in the House of Commons to a Left-wing Labour M.P., Mr Emrys Hughes, who suggested the bases should be moved elsewhere.
