New Zealand Cement Sell At Premium
X.Z. Cement had first dealings in Christchurch yesterday since the shares were allotted. Three parcels of the shares, which are paid to ss. changed hands at 6s 6d. Buyers in Christchurch on Monday offerer! 6s 3d. and several sales were made at this price in Wellington. Closing quotations in Christchurch yesterday were 6s 6d and 7s. A small parcel of Coles changed hands at the lower price of 13s 7d and Woolworths appeared easier on quotation. South British confirmed recent easier quotations in sales at /6s 6d anc 76s 3d. Bank of N.S.W.. Wellington Woollen and Aulsebrooks preference were also easier. Ampol were fractionally firmer and most other sales were at unchanged prices.
