PILOTLESS JET AIRCRAFT
American Interest In Jindivik (Rec. 11 p.m.) ADELAIDE. March 6. A 21-man team of American aviation and civil defence experts arrived today on their way to the Woomera rocket range to inspect the Australian designed and manufactured Jindivik pilotless jet aircraft. The Jindivik is a guided missile target and a test machine for high speed remote control mechanism. Mr J. Garges, vice-president of East Coast Aeronautics, Ltd., a member of the party, said he considered the Jindivik superior to the standard American target aircraft. He said his company was negotiating for a limited number of Jindiviks. The American aeronautics industry was convinced that future wars would be fought with unmanned electronic aircraft, he said.
