Midlands Car Workers On Short Time
(Rec. 10 p.m.) BIRMINGHAM, March 3. About 15,000 car workers in the industrial heart of the English Midlands will start an unwanted long week-end today. A chain reaction of short time working and dismissals has struck several of the major car and component factories over the last few weeks.
