Dog and Polecat
Unusual companions on a North Island farm are Tin. a dog, and Kille. a baby polecat. Tip found Kille in the bush near Palmerston North, and Tip's owner took the baby home, named him Kille (an abbreviation of the Danish word for kitten), and fed him on milk servec* on a teaspoon. Tip made a bed for Kille in his kenneL and carries the polecat about in his mouth. They romp and play together. and respond to commands in Doth Danish and English.
