(Bryndwr): New Zealand’s only international cricket success was achieved before the first official tests began in the 1929-30 season. New Zealand, playing at Wellington in 1907, beat an M.C.C. team by 56 runs. The Otago all-rounder, A. H. Fisher, had a match analysis of nine wickets for 86 runs. The touring team, all amateurs, including J. W. H. T. Douglas, Captain E. G. Wynyard, P. R. Johnson and G. H. Simpson-Hayward.
