Because of the increase in the Bank of England discount rate from 4£ per cent, to 51 per cent., the New Zealand on London buying rates have been altered The new rates, as advised by the Bank of New South Wales, arc as fol-
lows:— Sea Air £ s. d. £ s. d On demand .. 99 18 0 99 6 6 30 days .. 99 7 0 98 15 5 60 days .. 98 18 0 98 6 6 90 days .. 98 8 9 97 17 3 120 days . . 97 19 9 97 8 3 These rates are on the basis of £100 sterling. The telegraphic transfer remains at £100 7s 6d. rate
