POLITICAL SCIENCE PROFESSOR
VICTORIA COLLEGE POST (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 24. Professor R. S. Milne arrived in the Dominion Monarch yesterday to take up his post as professor in charge of the School of Political Science and Public Administration at Victoria University College, Wellington. Professor Milne, who was accompanied by his wife and two sons, aged seven and four, was a professor on the staff of Bristol University from 1947 until his appointment last year to Victoria College. The vacancy was caused by the resignation of Professor R. S. Parker, who early last year took up a readership at the Australian National University. Professor Milne was an exhibitor at Queen’s College, Oxford, from 1937 to 1940, and he took a first-class honours degree in philosophy, politics and economics.
