MATCH AGAINST WEST INDIES
CANTERBURY TEAM ANNOUNCED
The Canterbury cricket team to -play the West Indies on January 27, 28, and 30 was announced last evening. Three of the five Canterbury players who toured with the New Zealand team in India and Pakistan are included. A fourth member, J. A. Hayes, who is ill in bed with jaundice, is not available. The following is the team:— R. T. Dowker (captain), P. G. Z. Harris (vice-captain), A. R. Mac Gibbon. S. C. Guillen, B. A. Haworth, G. G. Coull, G. N. Gearry, M. Jack, M. E. Chapple, J. G. Leggat, I. McK. Sinclair, J. W. Darcy (twelfth man). S. M. Cameron was not available. Players are to attend practice this evening at 5 o’clock at Lancaster Park. —Advt. HOURS OF PLAY The hours of play for the match between Canterbury and the West Indies, which is to begin on Friday, were announced as follows at a meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association last evening:— Friday, January 27, and Saturday, January 28: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1.40 p.m. to 3.40 p.m., 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, January 30: 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1.40 p.m. to 3.40 p.m., 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
