PLUNKET SHIELD AVERAGES
GUILLEN AT TOP OF LIST
In the Plunket Shield batting- averages reported in “The Press” yesterday, S C Guillen (Canterbury) was placed second to L. S. M. Miller with an average of 57.1. This was not correct. Guillen batted in six innings for Canterbury and not eight as reported. His average of six innings (one not out), 118 as highest score and 490 as an aggregate, gives him the top average of 80.0, which is well above Miller’s average of 61.2.
