Floods Subside In Queensland
(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, Jan. 24. A family of four missing in floodwaters at Karrumbul. in southern Queensland, was found safe today. Police feared they had drowned in the sudden flood which swept through the town of Goondiwindi and surrounding areas.
Rescuers found the missing people, Len Wilkins, his wife, and two young children, were safe. They had spent the last two nights sitting on the roof of their house.
