Wellington, for the 27 hcurs after the time of issue is:— Situation:— An active trough of low pressure covers the North Island. A ridge of high pressure extends over the South Island from an antl-cyclone over the Tasman Sea. Forecast West Coast.—Moderate south-west winds; fair weather; warm day temperatures; outlook, fair. Nelson and Marlborough.—Strong easterly winds; overcast weather with rain; moderate temperatures; outlook, showery. Canterbury. Moderate to fresh north-east winds on the coast, tending south-east later; light winds inland; fair to cloudy weather; moderate temperatures; outlook, mainly fair. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday Was fine and sunny, with a moderate north-east wind. At midnight, the sky was cloudy, and a seven-knot easterly wind was blowing.
