Hurdles Champion Now A Half-Miler
l 8 The Australian 220 yards and 440 yards hurdles champion... Geoff Goodacre. is now turning to the half-mile, and he hopes to represent his country in this event at the Olympic Games towards the end of the year. The holder of the New South, Wales decathlon title, - Goodacre has run the second • fastest 880 yards in the state this season* Goodacre’s switch to the half-mile is a result of a leg muscle injury some seasons ago. Should Goodacre not succeed as a half-miler, he will revert to the hurdles.
