PUBLIC NOTICES MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL. REDUCTION IN WATER SUPPLY. Due to the low level of the Kowai river, it will now be necessary to alternate the water supply from Waddington as follows: Comencing at 8 a.m. on Friday, 6th, the Kimberley-Aylesbury side only will be off for 48 hours, and then on for 36 hours. The Darfield-Norwood side will then be off for 36 hours from 8 a.m. on Sunday. Bth. The supply will then be alternated in this rotation until further notice. It need, not be emphasised that all water must be strictly conserved. All ponds will be bypassed wherever practicable. No interference with water races will be tolerated, and action against offenders will be taken, under the Water Race Bylaws. PUBLIC NOTICE is given under Sections 20 and 21 of “The Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1955,” that the lighting of fires in the open in the whole of the Amuri County Area is prohibited. While this order is in force no person shall set on fire or cause to be set on fire in the open air any trees or timber (whether standing or not), or any bracken, flax, gorse, broom, lupin, grass, stubble, or other plants whatsoever, or any debris from forest or land clearing operations or any other combustible material whatsoever.
