TRIP DOWN CLARENCE RIVER

TWO RUBBER DINGHIES USED (New Zealand Press 'Association) BLENHEIM, January 5. ~A trip of 128 miles in rubber dinghies down the Clarence river was completed by four men this morning. They are Messrs Eric Amedro (Blenheim), Noel Sadd (Ward), Frank Scott (Blenheim), and Richard Tomlinson (Parnassus. Messrs Amedro and Tomlinson made the same trip a year ago. Two rubber dinghies were used for the trip just completed, Messrs Scott and Tomlinson being in one, and Messrs Amedro and Sadd in the other. The trip started on December 27. near Jollie’s Pass. Snow was falling when the party left. The .longest one-day journey in a leisurely trip was 30 miles from the Acheron to Mount Dillon.
