£300 STOLEN FROM CARETAKER
HOUSE IN CEMETERY ENTERED
About £3OO was stolen when the house of the caretaker of the Ruru Lawn Cemetery was entered on Friday evening or early on Saturday morning. The caretaker, Mr E. Malaquin. said that the house was empty from 8 p.m. on Friday to 1.15 a.m. on Saturday, and the house must have been entered during this time. Entry was made by breaking a window, and the house appeared to have been searched before the money was discovered in a writing desk, which was forced open. ......
