SELWYN HOUSE SCHOOL
ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING The senior championship at the athletic sports of Selwyn House School, held at Medbury School yesterday, was won by Freddy Hutton, Caroline McKellan was runner-up, and also broke the senior 100 yards record. The senior high jump record was broken by Elizabeth Hay, who jumped 4ft 4Jin. ’Angela McFarlane won the junior championshin and Christine Guild the lower school championship. ‘ Awards were presented by Mrs Norton Francis. Results were:— Senior Championship.—loo yards: Caroline McKellar 1, Freddy Hutton 2. Elizabeth Hay 3. 75 yards: Caroline McKellar 1. Freddy Hutton 2. Elizabeth Hay 3. Hurdles: Freddy Hutton 1. Caroline McKellar 2, Elizabeth Hay 3. High jump: Elizabeth Hay 1, Caroline McKellar and Freddy Hutton (equal) 2. Junior Championship.—loo yards: Angela McFarlane 1, Janet Jackson 2, Miriam Patterson 3. High jump: Angela McFarlane 1, Susan Hartnell 2. 50 yards: Angela McFarlane L Janet Jackson 2, Janet Tidswall 3. Hurdles: Angela McFarlane 1, Jerry Dampier-Crossley 2, Viki TempleSmith 3. ...
