GLENELG HEALTH CAMP

I MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ; MEETING Some of the 42 girls in camp at 1 Glenelg had gamed 101 b in weight and < there was a great improvement in their ' general health, the matron (Mrs E. 1 Momson) reported to Dr. E. B. Reilly, who presided at a meeting of the < Glenelg Health Camp management ! committee. Generous gifts of eggs had ■ been received from the Fernside- ' Rangipra and Russell's Flat branches of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, the Woodend-Waikuku Country Women’s Institute, and 15 dozen 1 from another branch of the institute, ; with no name enclosed. Girls’ stock- ' mgs and rain hats had also been given t>y the Red Cross Society. . Reilly said that visitors from the dental conference had been much impressed with Glenelg, its administration and work. He presented a satisfactory financial statement for the month. Mr J. N. Minson, for the school committee, presented the report of the head mistress (Miss Jean Morland). Parents had expressed pleasure at what was being done for the children, she ? a1 "- Mrs F. J. A. Fox, assistantteacher, had resumed duties after illness. r - H. Cordery, for the grounds committee, stated that trees marked •V Mr M. J. Barnett for removal would be dealt with, and that the fruit trew m the orchard were bearing .well. The offer of Dr. A. Douglas, Medical Officer of Health, to arrange for offi- °* the Health Department to «erve children in camp in addition the usual inspections, was accepted with thanks. Miss M. Enright expressed satisfaction in reporting the total of Health sta ™P sales which » so far - had exceeded those of former years. The oammittee expressed appreciation of work of the voluntary women helpers who are staffing the Post Office vegtwule every day, and of the successful efforts of Mrs J. N. Minson and mends at the saleyards. It was hoped Chiistmas postings for overseas Would give considerable impetus to Stamp sales this month.
