KAMPALA, October 19. The Kabaka, Mutesa 11. of Buganda, today handed the staff of office to his Prime Minister <Mr Miachael Kintu) *'hile African drums beat out a rhythm of rejoicing and bugles played > fanfare. , , Drummers and dancers performed outside the palace of the newlyreturned Kabaka all through the night. When the Kabaka walked to the Paihament Buildings this morning, the drummers followed, their drum beats rising to a crescendo. , . , .As the Kabaka took the black-edged gilt staff of office from his eldersi«ter. Princess T.a wantale. and handed it to Mr Kintu. a shout rang out. When Mr Kintu strode off smiling, the drummers followed him. They will pound their drums all day and tonight in his •ourtyard. , Other Buganda Ministers will be intomorrow.
