POLIOMYELITIS CASE AT DUNEDIN
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, October 20. The Department of Health in Dunedin was notified today of a case of poliomyelitis in the city. The Medical Officer of Health (Mr W. Murphy) said an adolescent woman, who had been in the isolation ward of the Dunedin Public Hospital under observation for some time, had been established as a positive case. He said that the woman was an isolated case from a city suburb, and was not connected with other cases reported in the north. No other cases had been definitely established in Dunedin.
