MORE THAN £lOOO RAISED ON DAFFODIL DAY
The executive, council, local committees, mothers and staff were congratulated by Mrs F. E. Burrell (president) at the monthly council meeting of the Christchurch Free Kindergarten Association, on the wonderful way in which they had co-operated to make Daffodil Day an outstanding success. The total proceeds were just over £lOOO, she said.
The principal, Miss R. Wilkie, reported good attendances at all kindergartens. Excursions had been made by the children to parks, gardens and farms, she said. The senior students were at present observing in primary schools, she reported. The resignation of Mrs L. Barham was accepted with regret. Mrs K. B. McCreanor was congratulated on her appointment as Dominion president of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union.
