Mr H. H. Wauchop was elected chairman of the Victory Park Board at the board’s annual meeting last evening. He will succeed Mr R. C. Saunders. Other officers elected were: deputy-chairman. Mr J. C. Harbut; grounds committee, Messrs D. A. Colville (chairman for cricket season), H. C. Blazey (chairman for Rugby season), and Harbut; secretary, Mr K. N. McGillivray. Tributes to Mr J. C. Forsyth, a former president, who will retire at the end of this year from the position of engineer-manager of the Christchurch Municipal Electricity Department. were paid by the annual conference of the New Zealand Electric Supply Authority Engineers’ Institute yesterday.
