PARADE OF COCKER SPANIELS
CANTERBURY CLUB’S AWARDS An evening parade of cocker spaniels was held on Tuesday by the Canterbury Cocker Spaniel Club. Mr A. E. Hopkins was the judge. The award for the best dog on parade was gained by Mrs J. Hutcheson’s golden cocker, Lady Hannay. The best puppy was T. H. Hodge’s blue roan dog, Rossmount Bluegum. After the judging Mr Hodge gave a demonstration on trimming a cocker spaniel. Miss J. C. M. Wiffin gave a talk and demonstration on exhibiting a cocker spaniel. Results were:— Puppy: T. H. Hodge’s Rossmount Bluegum 1, Mrs Truman’s Mansfield Hit Parade 2, G. Braddock’s Mahsfield Scout 3. » Novice: T. H. Hodge’s Rossmount Bluegum 1, Mrs Truman’s Alambra Ragamuffin 2. C. J. Sowden’s Bradford Sandy 3. Limit: Mrs J. Hutcheson’s Lady Hannay 1, Mrs Truman’s Alambra Ragamuffin 2. Mrs Eden’s Ngamoko Starshine 3. Open: Mrs Hutcheson’s Lady Hannay 1, Mrs Truman’s Alambra Ragamuffin 2, T. H. Hodge's Mansfield Mark 3. Child handlers: Patricia Wilson 1. Denise Wiffin 2, Irene French 3.
