Cable Kills Train Passengers
(Rec. 11 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 31., Seven people were killfed and 37 in- 1 jured tonight on their way to a rally j called to protest at President Peron’sj threat to resign. A low-hanging cable cut like a scythe through a crowd of Peronistas on top of a packed train heading for the party rally. The accident occurred as the train passed under an electric cable used by trolley-cars at an intersection. Many passengers had climbed on the carriages because the inside of the train was filled. Many of the victims were waving banners and flags supporting the President when the cable sliced through them.
