HIGHER WAGES FOR BANK OFFICERS
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 29. Bank officers’ wages are to be increased substantially as the result of negotiations between the Associated Banks and the New Zealand Bank Officers’ Guild today in Wellington. The new salary scale will rise to £920 after 18 years’ service instead of £832. The negotiations were not regarded as complete by the guild, its general secretary (Mr D. R. Lennon) said to day.
