UNDERGROUND POWER LINES
EXTENSION TO SOUTH CHRISTCHURCH
Further underground wiring will be begun by the Post and Telegraph Department in Christchurch south shortly, the City Council was advised last evening. The area is roughly from the railway to Tennyson street and from Wilsons road to Selwyn street, and most of the streets in the area are involved. More than 15 miles of street are involved in the project. Narrow trenches will be dug on paths in some places and on the roadway In others.
