Nash, of Palmerston North, won the Poverty Bay Golf Club's women's open championship this afternoon. She beat Mrs C. McDiarmid, of Putaruru. 6 and 4. Miss Nash, who approached brilliantly and putted accurately, was 4 up at the turn. She scored birdies on the fifth and fourteenth holes. She encountered bunker trouble at the sixth and tenth, the only holes she lost. Mrs McDiarmid had a tendency to pull her tee shots, but she could not match * her opponent's accurate approaching and putting.
