Situation;— A ridge of high pressure is moving eastward on to New Zealand, and a depression is moving rapidly southeastwards across the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast:—* Nelson and Marlborough.—Southwesterly uinds, gradually decreasing; fair to fine, apart fronf scattered showers about tae western ranges at night; cool to moderate temperatures. Outlook: mainly fair. West Coesl—Moderate winds from a wester Ij- quarter; showers developing in the afternoon in the south, otherwise weather fair to cloudy, with, moderate temperatures. Outlook: becoming generally fair. Canterbury^—Winds from a northerly quarter, becoming general during the monjinc; showers about tbe coasts, soon dying out and weather predominantly fair; cool to moderate temperatures. Outlook: mainly fair.
