KENYA
Sir,—While not doubting the sincerity of “Traveller’s” statements concerning Kenya, I contend that Kenya and Africa are being crippled by the ruthless intimidation of politicians, militarists, and capitalists. We had an example recently of natives being bombed from the air because they did not pay their taxes to the white people who had robbed them of their i lands. I am sure that the Mau Maus i and the natives, given their rightful ownership of the lands, would immediately cease their fighting and be willing "to co-operate with humanitarian principles and common sense. The law in a whi'.e man's country does not allow thindividual to be cheated, robbed or killed. Mau 'Maus may be primitive, but they still have their code of justice; hence their antagonism to injustice.—Yours, etc., THE LAW. August 11, 1955. <
